Performing and documenting evaluations
Many professionals expert in their field find performing evaluations to be daunting, confusing and frustrating. There are many confusing `rules¿. Documentation of the results is another possible stumbling block. Evaluators wish to perform and document evaluations in a professional and effective manner. Evaluators wish to ensure the final consensus document is clear, convincing and supports their recommended selection. Evaluations are of increasing importance. Whether the Government `wins¿ or `loses¿ a protest, it is costly in terms of time, effort, and possible delays in obtaining required services/goods. Effective, well supported and documented evaluations have a significant impact on protest results. This training event:

Defines the Best Value Continuum and its impact on the evaluation process
Provides definition of terms such as Source Selection Authority (SSA), Technical Evaluation Panel (TEP), and other related terms
Provides samples of SSA guidance documents, individual and consensus documents, writing evaluation results guidance, GAO protests.
