The LO/IF connections for external mixers (part number 1313.1100.26) is a hardware option designed specifically for the R&S®FSW26 signal and spectrum analyzer. This option enables the analyzer to connect to external mixers via dedicated LO (local oscillator) and IF (intermediate frequency) ports, allowing for frequency extension beyond the standard range of the instrument. The option is installed ex factory and cannot be retrofitted to existing units. It is intended to facilitate advanced measurement scenarios, such as millimeter-wave signal analysis, by providing the necessary hardware interfaces for external frequency conversion. This option is only available at the time of initial instrument order.
