The VIAVI E8136D-PC is an OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) module designed for use with VIAVI T-BERD/MTS-2000, -4000, and -5800 platforms. This module operates at three wavelengths: 1310 nm, 1550 nm, and 1625 nm, making it suitable for comprehensive fiber characterization, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of single-mode fiber networks. The E8136D-PC features a PC (Physical Contact) connector interface and is supplied with a standard SC adapter. It provides high dynamic range and short event and attenuation dead zones, enabling accurate detection of closely spaced events and precise measurement of fiber length, loss, and reflectance.
