California Instruments LXI Ethernet Interface (iX only) (disables RS232)
The California Instruments iM-LAN is an LXI Ethernet Interface designed specifically for use with iX Series power sources. This factory-installed option enables remote control and monitoring of the iX Series instruments over a standard Ethernet network using the LXI (LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation) protocol. When the iM-LAN interface is installed, it disables the RS232 communication port, allowing users to leverage modern network connectivity for integration into automated test systems. The iM-LAN interface supports standard TCP/IP protocols and is intended to enhance system flexibility and remote accessibility for advanced power testing applications.
