The AIT AFDX PXI module provides an ARINC 664 Part 7 test and simulation solution that works with conventional 10/100 Mbit/s ARINC 664 Part 7 Ethernet interfaces as well as the next-generation 1 Gbit/s Ethernet interface.

You can use the ARINC 664 test instruments in test and simulation applications that are required to transmit and receive data over the ARINC 664 avionics databus. The instruments use two soft-form pluggables and work with copper physical network interfaces.

Using an architecture based on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with multiple embedded processors, the ARINC 664 interfaces offer onboard support for upper layer protocol processing (A653, UDP, IP) and use DMA to provide optimal data throughput. All ARINC 664 protocol operations, including VL traffic shaping, redundancy management, and IP fragmentation and reassembly, are handled onboard.

Software support includes an advanced, high-level NI LabVIEW and LabVIEW Real-Time instrument driver that offers an intuitive and easy-to-use software interface for developing ARINC 664 applications and bus configuration. A rich suite of example applications is included to demonstrate the use of the AIT PXI-C664 module. Complex end system configurations are made simple with AIT's intuitive and easy-to-use ARINC 664 XML-based configuration tools.
