The R1616 cable for NI TB-264x and NI TB-264xB terminal blocks is used to expand the total number of columns in a multimodule NI 2532 and 2532B matrix configuration by connecting the rows of each module together. Each TB-264x terminal block has two row connection headers inside. One is used to break out the row signals and the other, to expand the columns of the module using the R1616 cable.
