The NI PXI-2549 is a general-purpose switch module that features two independent terminated SPDT relays suited for routing signals from DC to 2.7 GHz in 50 RF applications. It can switch up to 30 Vrms or 500 mA at a maximum power rating of 10 W.

Use the PXI-2549 to add flexibility to your switch network or to maintain uniform signal paths across multiple channels when building high-channel-count multiplexers. In addition to adding flexibility, the PXI-2549 uses 50 termination resistors to minimize reflections on open channels and protect your source or device under test from damage. The module also features excellent insertion loss, voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR), and isolation parameters to minimize signal degradation. You can use its onboard relay-count-tracking feature to predict relay lifetime and reduce unexpected system downtime.

Note: The bandwidth specification of a switch module, which is not an absolute specification, is determined by vendor standards. Although you can route higher-frequency signals through this switch module, they encounter more degradation than those at lower frequencies. To determine the best switch module for your application, review the insertion loss, VSWR, and isolation specifications of the product for the bandwidth of your application. For more information on choosing the right RF switch for your application, review the "Guide to Selecting an RF Switch" under the Resources tab of this page.
