No export license required for this signal generator
Certain E8257D PSG microwave signal generator options require a US export license as a condition of sale. Option HNY, exportable ultra-low phase noise, tailors the E8257D to provide the best possible phase noise without requiring an export license. By choosing this option, you will eliminate all processing time associated with the export licenses, thereby dramatically reducing the amount of time it takes to receive your new instrument.
Option HNY phase noise performance is approximately mid-way between the E8257D-UNX and E8257D-UNY levels. Specifications can be found in the E8257D-HNY product note above.
Note: E8257D-HNY is only recommended for customers in countries subject to export licensing restrictions. For customers in non-export restricted countries, E8257D-UNY is recommended.
Typical application
Any measurement application requiring superior phase noise, including LO substitution, development of radar, digital communications, and satellite systems, as well as receiver blocking tests and A/D converter testing.
This option cannot be added as a product upgrade only available at time of purchase. Refer to the configuration guide for hardware requirements.
