Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720C

Product Description:

Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720C 50MHz - 20GHz, Microwave Network Analyzer

The Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720C network analyzer is an instrument which measures the complex transmission and reflection characteristics of two-port devices in the frequency domain. It does this by sampling the incident signal, separating the transmitted and reflected waves, and then performing ratios that are directly related to the reflection and transmission coefficients of the two-port. Frequency is swept to rapidly obtain amplitude and phase information over a band of frequencies of interest.

Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720C network analyzers utilize synthesized-frequency sources to provide a known test stimulus that can sweep across a range of frequencies or power levels. Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720C network analyzers also can perform ratioed measurements (including phase), which require multiple receivers. The Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720C can provide a wealth of knowledge about a device under test (DUT), including its magnitude, phase, and group-delay response.

HP 8720 Series Network Analyzers

The HP 8719C, 8720C, and 8722C vertor network analyzers characterize RF and microwave components down to 50MHz and up to 40GHz. These network analyzers include a fast-sweeping source, S-parameter test set, tuned receiver, and large color display in a single package. Their integrated design make the HP 8720 series compact, economical, and easy to use. They are ideal choices for cost- and space-conscious engineers in research and development, manufacturing, incoming inspection, or quality assurance.

Affordable Analyzers with Excellent Performance

Despite their affordable price, the HP 8720 series network analyzers offer remarkable performance. The integrated source is fully synthesized, even while sweeping, and provides stability and accuracy within 10ppm (typical). Yet the sweep rate is extremely fast: measurement update times are typically about 1ms per point. Frequency resolution is 100kHz standard; Option 001 provide Power flatness: +/-2.5dB
