Product Description:

Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720B 130MHz - 20.0GHz, Microwave Network Analyzer

The Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720B network analyzer is an instrument which measures the complex transmission and reflection characteristics of two-port devices in the frequency domain. It does this by sampling the incident signal, separating the transmitted and reflected waves, and then performing ratios that are directly related to the reflection and transmission coefficients of the two-port. Frequency is swept to rapidly obtain amplitude and phase information over a band of frequencies of interest.

Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720B network analyzers utilize synthesized-frequency sources to provide a known test stimulus that can sweep across a range of frequencies or power levels. Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720B network analyzers also can perform ratioed measurements (including phase), which require multiple receivers. The Agilent Technologies, Inc. 8720B can provide a wealth of knowledge about a device under test (DUT), including its magnitude, phase, and group-delay response.

Feature:
Type: Vector
Integral Source: YES
Source Frequency: 130MHz

The HP 8719A or 8720B microwave network analyzers characterize microwave components and networks to 13.5 or 20GHz. These vector network analyzers include a fast-sweeping synthesized source, switching s-parameter test set, and large, full color display in s single integrated package. These compact instruments are economical and easy to use. They are ideal choices for manufacturing, incoming inspection, and final test.

AFFORDABLE ANALYZERS WITH EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE

The integra source is fully synthesized, even while sweeping and it provides stability and accuracy within 10 ppm (typical). Yet, the source sweeps extremely fast: measurement update times are typically about 1ms per point. Frequency resolution is 100kHz standard; option 001 provides 1 Hz resolution for narrow-band or long devices.

With tuned receivers and variable-bandwidth IF filters, the HP 8719A and 8720B microwave network analyzers provide over 85 dB of dynamic range. Option 003 boosts th Fast-sweeping synthe
