Boonton Electronics Corporation has designed its new 4230A Series RF power meter with advanced DSP and surface mount construction technology and a front-end microprocessor that help make it one of the fastest and most accurate power meters available. The 4230A Series can sample over 200 readings per second, making it well suited for not only stand-alone applications but also as part of ATE systems.
The 4230A Series measures power from -70dBm to +44 dBm and covers 10 kHz to 100 GHz. The power meter can measure signals over a 90 dB dynamic range using only a single sensor.
It also features Boonton Electronics' unique sensor adapter, which eliminates the need to re-enter calibration data if a sensor is changed, and the potential errors and time delays associated with it. That is because state-of-the-art circuitry within the adapter stores calibration data in a built-in EEPROM.
