Analysis of AC power line disturbances is essential for pre-installation site surveys, correlating malfunctions of electronic equipment with disturbances, specifying corrective equipment and monitoring effectiveness of power line conditioners.
Four AC plug-in modules are available to provide monitoring (text data) of any electrical distribution system up to 600VAC, including single-phase, split-phase, three phase wye or deta, 45 to 65Hz, or 370 to 450 Hz. Impulses, sags, surges, undervoltages, overvoltages, and frequency variations can all be detected, compared with user-selectable thresholds and recorded with the amplitude, duration and exact time of occurrence.
For 50/60 Hz power systems, options are available to determine impulse direction. Impulse direction measurements on an incoming power line will determine whether the impulses originated outside the facility or internally. If internal sources are detected, movement of the monitor prob
