Description

Terms and conditions of a special option

Generate multi-source phase coherent carriers from 250 MHz up to 44 GHz

Option HCC provides two pairs of local oscillator (LO) in and out connectors, one for low band and one for high band, that allows the generation of phase coherent carriers from 250 MHz up to a maximum frequency of the E8267D using up to 16 PSGs. Each generator must have HCC. One source will be the "master" generator and the remaining units will be "slave" generators. Each vector signal generator can be fully IQ calibrated for desired master carrier frequencies. Distribution of the "master" LO signal and IQ calibration of all of the generators requires the use of a U3035P distribution network. Several models of U3035P distribution networks are available, depending on the number of PSGs that need to be phase coherent. Modulation coherence requires a common 10 MHz reference and one external ARB clock that is common to all generators.

Typical applications

Multiple phase coherent signals are often required for testing beam steering, multi-emitter radars, phase array antennas, direction finding receivers, and spatially "smart" MIMO communications systems.

This option cannot be added as a product upgrade only available at time of purchase.
