The LP-5100 series are hand held, stabilized LED Light Sources used to inject light inot connectorized optical fiber. Team any of the LP-5100 series with an optical power meter and set the light source to its CW mode to preform completion testing of installed links. The LP-5100 series can also be used in their Modulated Modes in conjunction with fiber identifiers to select fibers during service activities.
Three models are available are available in the LP-5100 series. The LP-5100 and LP-5110 are single wavelength units that produce wavelengths of 850nm and 1300nm, respectively, while the LP-5150 provides selectable wavelengths of 850nm and 1300nm.
All of the LP-5100 series LED Light Sources offer the convenience of three way power. They can operate by using either the AC charger/adapter which is included with each, or on their rechargeable NiCd batteries or by using alkaline batteries.
