National Instruments industrial enclosures house and protect CompactRIO sytems from harsh and dirty environments. Use these enclosures with installations where dirt, dust, oil, water, or other contaminants are present. There is a panel included for internally mounting CompactRIO within the enclosure as well as a hardware kit containing panel mounting nuts, panel grounding hardware, and sealing washers.
Both NI 9917 and NI 9918 enclosures are IP66 rated and UL rated. The NI 9917 is NEMA rated (Types 4, 12, and 13). The NI 9918 enclosure with the windowed door is NEMA rated (Types 4 and 12).
The enclosures come with a detachable mounting plate that you can drill holes for mounting CompactRIO and routing cabling.
NOTE: For EMC suppression or marine applications, use the NI 9917 enclosure with the solid door.
