This course discusses different sources for information about who we are, what we do, where we are, and with whom we are associated¿and how we can protect that information from misuse or corruption. Those who complete this course will be familiar with techniques they can use to: differentiate between information that is considered ¿directory¿ versus ¿personal¿; prevent undesirable sharing of information about physical location and status; identify efforts to obtain PII through social engineering or other common attacker activities; avoid unnecessary or superfluous capture of PII details; and interpret vendor privacy policy ¿fine print¿
