With purchase of this option, the following front panel connectors are moved to the rear panel of the instrument:

• RF OUTPUT (type-N(f))
• LF OUTPUT (BNC)
• EXT 1 INPUT (BNC)
• EXT 2 INPUT (BNC)

Convenient Connector Placement for Use in Rackmount Environments

The E4428C ESG analog signal generator equipped with Option 1EM provides rear panel connectors only.

Typical Application

Rear-panel connectors are recommended to simplify cable management when installing and using the ESG in rackmount test environments, such as manufacturing and system verification. Rear-panel connectors significantly simplify installation and maintenance and enable orderly cable management.

This option cannot be added as a product upgrade only available at time of purchase.
