The snom 821 also works on Microsoft ® Lync with the same featureset and is backward compatible to it and supports existing 2007 R2 clients. Includes a large 3.5" high-resolution TFT color display with XML browser. Menu-driven user interface and 4 freely programmable, 16 customizable function keys and 12 virtual keys. The wideband technology used makes and excellent audio quality, comparable to a FM radio. The Snom821 has an USB port for easy WiFi connection (Adaptor not included). In addition to open standard SIP, a special firmware upgrade creates the snom OCS Edition which can integrate into Microsoft® Office Communication Server 2007 and the complete Unified Communications solution. This firmware release is available to integrate Microsoft® OCS on the snom821 and any of the 3xx, 8xx and M3 snom phones. Any current snom user or new purchases can upgrade their phone to take advantage of the time-saving features of Microsoft® OCS. Helpful features like Announced incoming calls, ActiveDirectory Search, logged on status and secure calls from either the snom phone of the computer are included. snom firmware 7.3.17 or newer includes the IPv6 support.
