The HP54700 Series Oscilloscopes are the most
accurate single shot oscilloscopes in the HP
family of digitising oscilloscopes. Their
modular design makes it possible to configure
a system that is best suited to the current
application. This is possible through
boards, sotware updates and plug-ins.
The plug-ins are for analog signal
conditioning, which scale the input signal ,
set the bandwidth of the system and allow the
user to choose the input coupling and
impedence. The ouput is an analog signal and
trigger that is applied to the acquisition
board on the mainframe and the trigger board
respectively. A maximum of 4 input channels
for the HP54720 and 2 channels for the
HP54710 are available.
