This module consists of Generator and Analyzer boards connected side-by-side. The Generator board functions are identical to those of the Generator Module. The Analyzer board monitors incoming cell streams in real time and features full rate capture, real time statistics, and histogram generation.

Applications
In addition to its ATM traffic generation function, the module has an Analyzer portion for examining the integrity of ATM cells after they have been routed through networks, switches and other equipment. The Analyzer monitors both live traffic and test cells in real time to identify and isolate error conditions for troubleshooting and for QoS (quality of service) measurements. The incoming cell stream can automatically detect up to 2,040 different substreams and analyze them all simultaneously for detailed analysis and to isolate specific types of cells based on AAL type, cell header information or payload type.
